Difference Between Photography Course and Photography Workshop | 2 Day Photography Workshop Singapore.
Is there really a difference? I see people use photography course and photography workshop interchangeably. As I searched through the web there were different opinions from country to country. Here is my personal opinion after leading and guiding photography workshop for the last 25 years in Singapore. There are subtle difference in the approach between photography course and photography workshop.

Photography Course | Difference between Photography Course and Photography Workshop:
Photography course is normally delivered to participants based on specific contents like a syllabus in school. The objective is very content driven. A download of information from instructor to participants within a certain time period. The teaching format is a presentation and lecture to a relatively large audience.
Photography workshop | Difference between Photography Course and Photography Workshop:
Photography workshop on the other hand is more like knowledge and skill taught through like apprenticeship program where the master will show and guide the apprentice through practical examples. The objective is imparting the skill-set rather than just delivering a lecture. It ensures that participants can deliver the results. It is more like a mentorship program. The measurements therefore is on the final achievements and accomplishments of the participant rather than just gaining a course certificate or certificate of attendance
Photography Tour | Difference between Photography Tour and Photography Workshop:
Photography tour is travel-oriented photo opportunity with a qualified instructor. It is totally different from a photography workshop which is heavily skill-oriented. To get the most of the tour, it is important to know your basic skills and know what you want to achieve from the tour.
