Buffy Fish-owl took flight in broad daylight at Hampstead Wetland Park Singapore.
This morning, I went to the nursery to get some plants and soils. I stopped by Hampstead Wetland Park. While shooting the Blue-tailed Bee-eaters, a Buffy Fish-Owl flew out unexpectedly from the bush in broad daylight.

Buffy Fish-owl took flight in broad daylight at Hampstead Wetland Park Singapore was rather unusual where it usually flies out just around the sunset. I used wide area zone method with AFC at 1/1000 sec to freeze the action. I used 100-500mm zoom, handheld without tripod.

Still loving your work, John. Always appreciation for getting me off of auto and really turning my photography interest into obsession. I’m back in Singapore, loving the wildlife, and very much enjoying macro at the moment. Best, David.
